At the start of my business journey in Korea, I met Matti Douy, a familiar figure in many foreign-held events in Seoul. We are happy to have him here today with REALIZER

Matti is a French entrepreneur who envisions building a bridge between Korea and Europe. He works mostly with energy, Greentech, biotech, and AI for businesses and governments.

Building relations and networks are two of Matti’s biggest pursuits in his entrepreneurship journey.  

Matti and REALIZER met in late 2023 during a networking event. Apart from having similar synergies, Matti wanted to find a solution that could help him connect with people more easily in Korea and France. 

“As I’m getting into multiple projects, I cannot keep up my contact just by remembering and reviewing the business cards. Although REMEMBER is a tool commonly used in Korea, it is rated overseas. “I am a big fan of business cards, maybe because they feel like collectibles. However, business cards are easily misplaced and I wish to store the information more systematically. 

In Korea, people use business cards, while Europeans like to connect on LinkedIn or digital platforms. Although collecting information is easy, categorizing and sorting it can be difficult. 

As someone who goes to events almost every day, I recognize that REALIZER, even in its beta stage impacted the way I work. Ultimately, meaningful connections should continue after the point of contact exchange.

Everyone should remain sharp, flexible, and adaptable these days. However, many professionals mistook these changes as the time to adopt new and trendy tools. In my opinion, innovation is important, but regulation is vital. 

Ultimately, business decisions should be made by you and not solely dependent on AI. In B2B business settings, for example, every professional is responsible for the way they conduct business and build human relations. From my point of view, you need to get along with your prospects and create a good human connection to foster good business.

I like tech tools that focus on the ‘in-betweens’, where they help with administrative work so that there is higher productivity in building personal connections. Similarly, I like business tools that consider both traditional and modern business etiquette. 

I kept my subscription and loyalty to REALIZER because they are an AI company that understands the importance of relations and having a balance between the ‘new’ and ‘old’. It shows a level of professionalism and respect towards our clients, regardless of culture, age, or preference.

I’d like to strengthen the relations and the bridges I already have, go further than small missions, and create more value, and more industrial and research partnerships. I want my business to be recognized as a pillar in Southern Europe and Korea.
